Chrome Beta Version 36.0.1985.32 built in flash plugin zoomed and cropped problem

Zoomed & Cropped

With the recent Chrome Beta update on Max OSX 10.9.3 I noticed that embedded youtube videos did not load correctly. This also affects any embedded flash content. This was very annoying as video flash content playback controls were not accessible. And for the life of me I could not figure out what the problem was. Whats interesting about this is both the built in flash plugin that comes with Chrome and the system level plugin downloaded from Adobe both are version However the system level plugin is the one that works correctly.

Today I decided to look into this, and I finally found the solution.

  1. Download the latest Flash Plugin from adobe
  2. Quit all currently running browsers
  3. Install the flash player (if its already installed you may uninstall/reinstall)
  4. Start Chrome, in the address box enter chrome://plugins/ (exactly as I put it here), hit enter
  5. You will see a list of plugins, in the top right corner click on “Details”
  6. Scroll down or search for the word “Flash” (see illustration bellow)

    How to Set System Plugin
  7. Disable the flash plugin with the a location of: /Applications/Google Chrome Framework.framework/Internet Plug-Ins/PepperFlash/PepperFlashPlayer.plugin
  8. Close this window, check that your problem is resolved by viewing either an embedded youtube video, or any other flash object
Embedded Files working as they should

Howto appologize to your woman

I was taking notes from an episode of Two and a Half Men and found this particular episode had a lot of wisdom which Id like to share with you.

Allen: If 12 years of marriage have taught me anything is that there is no apologizing without groveling

Charlie: Mia & I aren’t married

Allen:  Are you having sex?
Charlie: Continue…

Allen: First of all you must grovel in person, humiliation is a visual medium, next go and get her a gift, but do keep in mind any gifts you do offer her may be well end up being thrown at your head.

Allen: flowers, lougerie, jewelry all good, picture frames, waffle irons, steak knives not so much..

Allen: anyway the most important thing is sincerity
Charlie: Sincerity?

Allen: Yes you absolutely must be able to fake sincerity

How to send Prescription Drugs/Medicines to the USA

1.) Browse to US FDA Orange Book to check if your prescription drug is approved (You can import non FDA approved drugs into the US)

2.) You need to have a prescription signed by your doctor, and stamped from the hospital (Or your doctors clinic or professional est.)

3.) You will also need a commercial invoice for your drug from either the hospital or pharmacy (Even if you got it for free from a gov. hospital)

4.) Notation should be placed on the outside of the parcel stating “Doctors Letter Attached”

All set? Great now you can call any of the carriers you deal with.

Fedex:+965 1 802.233

DHL: +965 1 808.345

I had to figure this out recently and none of the local carriers could provide me with accurate information on how to get this done, so I figured id share this with you.

Howto Root Euro Motorola Xoom 3G and Install Honeycomb 3.2

So I’ve been reading tons of forum threads to figure this out. The thing is, its not really hard, but what makes it challenging is the noise of information out there. You get to a point that your not sure which method is the right method.
Eventually I started taking down notes, toyed with it for a bit, and said what the heck, lets just do this, and if it bricks it bricks. And after all that hard work I decided to share my notes with you all. So you dont have to go through the same hassle I did.
I purchased my Xoom 3g from Axiom in Kuwait, and tested the 3g functionality with ZainKW. It should work for all other 3g providers in Europe and Asia.
I started out with Android 3.1 Stock which I got OTA.

How to move and map C:/Users to another Drive (I.E. SSD to Sata Drive)

Boot from your Windows 7 install media

When prompted to “Install now” or “Repair your computer”, select “Repair your computer”

You will be asked if you want to “Repair and Restart” by the System Recovery options, choose “No”.

Ensure that Windows 7 is listed as one of the installed OS’s available for recovery, select it then press next.

You will be given a list of recovery tools, chose “Command Prompt”.

In the command prompt you will be using Robocopy to copy c:\Users to d:\Users

Type the following: robocopy c:\Users d:\Users /mir /xj

Note: /mir tells robocopy to mirror the directories, this will copy all files and permissions.
/xj is very important, this tells robocopy not to follow junction points. Forgetting to do this, will render your system to a non bootable state.

The copy will take some time, Make sure no files show as failed to copy (FAILED column = 0).
If it fails, don’t worry, just delete all the files in the temp directory. And do step #6 again.

Remove the old Users Folder from the c: drive:

Type the following: rmdir /S /Q C:\Users

Create a NTFS Junction that points to the new Users folder:

Type the following: mklink /J C:\Users D:\Users

Now restart and there you go. No further configuration or fiddling required. New user profiles will all be stored on the d: drive, as will any user specific data. And it is achievable without any messing about in the registry, searching and replacing values, or having to mess with new profiles in any way. Totally fire and forget.

Important Notes:

The command prompt in windows recovery will show you different drive letters.
For example. Lets say you want to move C:\Users to D:\Users.
In the recovery command prompt, your “target” D drive might appear to be the drive X.
So you have to substitute the target drive D with X in the steps listed here.
Dont worry when you reboot it will list the drive correctly as D.
If you have multiple drives, before you start create a directory on your target drive and call it “TARGET”
Then you can find your drive by changing drives in the command prompt (I.E. c:\ <enter>, d:\ <enter> etc…) followed by the command “dir”. This will list directories, if you see the directory “TARGET” it means you have found the target drive, take note of the drive letter and use it as a substitute.

If you have remapped, or changed your drive letters, these steps will not work, and the easiest and fastest way to get this done is simply to do a fresh install and then follow this tutorial. Be sure not to make any changes to drive letters after a fresh install.
